When Visitors visits our web, not everyone wants to read all the content or pages. Normally they just visit one or two paragraphs that directly speak to their need. Usually we find a lot of visitors scan a webpage determine whether it’s work reading. Or they may visit just for the piece of information they’re looking for.
All readers and visitors loves lists, it helps them to find what they are actually looking for and even it helps to grasp the content we’re presenting in terms of “best to worst” or “first to last”.
Let’s discuss some the important readability features:
- Should be Mobile compatibility:
If we check Google Analytics or another website reporting service regularly, then we have no doubt witnessed that almost all the people visiting our website are doing from a mobile device. From the past few years we are actually getting more traffic from mobile phones than from desktop computers. Still many website are not compatible with the mobile phones.
So we should always remember that, our website should be compatible with the mobile phones.
- Here comes Graphs and Charts:
We should create a pie chart, a bar or line graph, to highlight the most critical statistics provided in our content. These graphs and charts are more essential when comparing the things conceptually. It will make them stand out if we use the color to that.
- About Tables:
It helps readers understand complex information with just a glance, if we breaking down our content into table. In mobile devices, tables are tricky, though we might need to adapt them. We may choose horizontal scrolling of the table content or either include fewer columns, so that full table displays in responsive mode.
- Last but not the Least “Sections”:
We may lose the visitors before they read more than two lines of content if we won’t add proper sections. As we know that “The longer our visitors stay on our site, the more engaged they’ll be, and the chance will be higher for them to convert”.
When we start writing a blog or building a page, that should offer a large amount of information about the certain topic, we should divide that information up using headers, spacing, and sections that ensure that our webpage is easy to scan.
